James Long, DMD
Orthodontics is a profession that I love. I try to learn something new from patients, parents, and my team each day. I thank God for giving me the talent to help make such a positive impact on people’s lives. I feel that we make a difference to our patients by respecting their time, their feelings, and concerns. I love to see them grow up and how their smile may have helped to make them more confident.
I love people; their hopes and aspirations fascinate me. Raising six children attests to my love for children, family, honor, and country. I love to interact with both children and adults; improving their teeth is just part of the experience at our office.
We are the most technologically advanced practice in the area and all my staff members are certified; many of them have over 20 years of experience. We don't just treat people; we provide care for them.
Even though I have been busy with my family and my practice, I still have found time to give seminars and attend local and regional orthodontic meetings. We are one of Georgia’s Elite Providers of Invisalign®, which gives me a chance to dig deep into diagnosis and treatment plans.
I am a believer in the protection of our country, the greatest one in the world. My personal life is tied to the service of our country, God, and the welfare of my patients, all of whom I feel are sent here from God himself. I am surrounded by a great team who cares for our patients as much as I do.
I have lived in Georgia over 40 years and have been married for 25 years to Lisa Long, my best friend and motivator. We have been blessed with six children, two of which have graduated from the US Naval academy, two others are attending West Point Military Academy, and one of my daughters has just begun at the US Air Force Academy.
As successful as I have been, I owe a lot of success to my beautiful wife who has been the most positive influence ever. She truly was a gift from God and has been a motivating factor for all of us in this office. I look forward to the day she spends more time in our office after our youngest graduates in 2013.
When not working, I attend meetings with academy friends and administration. I have a passion for athletics and fitness and often travel to athletic and achievement events. I am an active member of our church, a deacon, and a board member of the YMCA. One of my favorite weekly stops is the Newnan Ironmen, a group who meets at 5:30 AM every Wednesday. We love this country, fitness, and most of all we love to serve the Lord.
